In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, and Donald Trump’s 80 birthday today, Donald Trump wanted, promoted and expressed PRIDE in having caged UFC fights right on the White House lawn. SERIOUSLY? And last night having a promotional event right in front of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial. YES, that happened. A disrespectful moment that has to have been for every veteran, every American, every patriotic citizen who loves this country, and all it used to stand for. I am sure many are sick to their stomachs. Understandably.
Abraham Lincoln has to be turning in his grave. Has Donald Trump EVER even read the words on the walls of this memorial? Does he not know many Americans fought and died for our democracy, our liberty, and our rights? And now, the Lincoln Memorial, a solemn place, is a prop for…FIGHTS??? WHO DOES THAT?
This is the best you got, Mr. Trump??? FIGHTS???? What kind of message are you sending to the country and the world??
You’re not a leader. You’re a monster. On steroids.
My father was a WWII veteran. June 14th was also his birthday. How awful that they share the same birthday. It’s also FLAG DAY. And that too, is awful that Donald Trump has NO idea what it really means to raise that flag, or salute it. Seriously NO IDEA. He has NO idea what it’s like to sacrifice…ANYTHING, let alone your life for a flag, for a country, for a way of life. For freedom. For Democracy.
Donald Trump is a disgrace to not just the country, and the to the world, but to HUMANITY itself. GET HIM OUT OF HERE. Don’t stop fighting for RIGHT, and not for FUN.
WE, are the warriors we need. Let’s keep going. We can, and we must!
Happy Birthday, Dad. Thinking of you today. Thank you for your service. May you be resting in peace. I’m glad you’re not here to see what’s happened to your Republican Party, and to the country, and the world. Also know, I’m fighting the good, and right fight. It’s exhausting, and frustrating, but that’s nothing compared to what it must have been for soldiers in world wars—we will be mindful of that. Always.
